LCOS projectors The next generation of digital displays will be using liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS) technology. LCOS will have liquid crystals to control the path of light to micro mirrors. Since LCOSs technology is from combining elements of DLP and LCD projectors, LCOS projectors are able to create very high-resolution images with excellent color saturation. Only very high-end projectors use this technology right now, but the technology will most likely apply to lower-priced models over the next few years.
